G-FANS WELCOME! G-FORCE CHRONICLES IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!
As a writer it has always been a dream of mine to one day write my own stories about my biggest obsession; Godzilla. The Heisei Era of Godzilla films remains a solid entry in Toho's Franchise and for some, the best part. With great movies such as The Return of Godzilla, Godzilla vs Destoroyah, and (my personal favorite of the whole franchise) Godzilla vs Biollante, many fans to this day would love to continue to those days; see what would become of Junior, Miki, and G-Force.
And so it is with great pleasure that I decided to create G-FORCE CHRONICLES.
It is a FREE-TO-READ blog series depicting the adventures of Miki Saegusa, Junior, and G-Force, 30 years after the events of Godzilla vs Destoroyah. Though it is a continuation of the Heisei Era (which will canonically include the Rebirth of Mothra films), it will also draw ideas, themes, characters, and events from across Toho's whole franchise and Legendary's Monsterverse as well! It won't just be a re-hashing of plots and such though, it will take elements already established and weave them in new ways and even introduce characters AND KAIJU of my own creation! It won't be all strictly told through words either! It will feature artwork of my own doing as well as artwork submitted by fellow G-Fans as well!
So far there are dozens of story arcs planned for this series which will be organized into "Sagas." Every episode will be roughly 10 Word-Doc pages in length with the exception of the first episode (which will be 20 pages in length). An Instagram and a Facebook page will be set up as well for fans to come together and talk about the series and the franchise. If the series ends up becoming a fan favorite, I might even see about booking a booth or panel at G-Fest as well. As far as what I have planned going forward goes for the series itself, I can't say too much too soon. I'm not a fan of spoilers folks😁
For the first saga, I can say this much however:
-You will be introduced to most of the key players in the first episode which include both returning characters across the franchise and a couple of my own creation.
-Miki Saegusa is going to be a crucial central character again but she has been through a lot in the 30 years since we last saw her.
-Though Junior, now the new Godzilla, is going to obviously be the main star/hero on the Kaiju side of things, most of his brethren will get plenty of chances to shine in the spotlight as well; including some fan-favorites we haven't seen in a while.
-The roster of Kaiju will be selected from across Toho and Legendary's library, created by yours truly, and even will feature some unused creations that never saw the light of day (hint; one of the biggest enemies of the series is a certain Kaiju that has been stuck in concept hell since the 1980s)
-The main antagonists throughout the series will be human and not; with the first saga being driven by another unused concept and a faction from the very earliest days of Toho's Showa Era.
As time goes on there will be pages set up depicting character bios, kaiju profiles, fan-art, and more!
Again this is a FREE-TO-READ series! No payments or subscriptions of any kind required! In a nutshell G-FORCE CHRONICLES is going to be the biggest love letter to the franchise from one of its biggest fans and others as well! More news will come in later posts but until then, the Chronicles begin on Sunday, October 24!
