EPISODE 8: THE GHOST CAMP

                 PAPUA NEW GUINEA, NOT FAR FROM PORT MORESBY…                The forest was alive with activity. Insects and nocturnal animals of all sorts were chirping, buzzing, and calling to one another. Fireflies were flashing everywhere in such an abundance that at times they would outline the foliage. Overhead, cloud cover was breaking away to reveal a bright moon. Even though the area was mere miles away from the largest population center on the island nation, there was little light pollution to block out the stars.                Almost as soon as the pale light of the moon began to illuminate the area, the music of the wilderness suddenly ceased; the fireflies stopped flashing. The once lively forest became as ominous, still, and foreboding as a graveyard. Amidst the stillness, the faint sound of running footsteps could be heard.
